Throughout her life, Karen enjoyed participating in community theater and singing. She sang the National Anthem at Nationwide’s annual Memorial Day service for the past several years. Karen also collected family memorabilia and was a knowledgeable family historian. Karen was known by many for her infectious laugh. After being selected as one of 10 finalists from nearly 100,000 entries, she went on to compete in the 1999 Pillsbury Giggle-Off Contest in California. Karen was friendly, sentimental, and enjoyed sharing funny stories and memories with others.
Grateful for having shared her life are her brother Greg (and Pat) Wolf of Urbandale; nieces Jill (and Riley) McDowell of Ankeny and Whitney (and Daniel Weiser) Wolf of Grimes; and numerous cousins and special friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Phyllis Wolf, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her beloved dog Muffin.
